during your normal lesson time.
We've a small favour to ask...
We're currently talking to Harrow Council about the possibility of a brand new, bigger and better building for Harrow School of Gymnastics, right next to our existing one. The more the council see how much support there is for this, the more likely this is to happen and the sooner it can happen. So what we'd like to ask you is to write to the leader of Harrow Council and tell him how wonderful you think it would be to have this new and bigger gymnastics facility and how much it would mean to your son / daughter too. To make it easier for you, we've created a template letter
which you can download here which you can use and amend with your own details. You can change the letter as much as you like.Every letter they receive will help our cause so please do take a few minutes to help us get a
bigger gym.Thank you very much from everyone at Harrow School of Gymnastics.
Gymnastics is an excellent preparation for many sports and can provide a structured opportunity for children to develop skills such as strength, suppleness, balance and co-ordination and it encourages concentration, discipline and general fitness. Harrow School of Gymnastics was founded in 1979, originally based at Harrow Leisure Centre. The present purpose-built Gym was built in 1991 with the help of Harrow council, the Sports Council and funds raised by the club itself.
We provide a safe and stimulating environment for gymnastics classes at all levels, from Pre-School to Adult Gym. Most of those involved enjoy recreational Gymnastics working for British Gymnastics awards and competing in the Club Championships. The performance section comprising Women's Artistic and Men's Artistic, gives an opportunity for talented gymnasts to compete within the Club, at Regional, National and International levels.
During the week, inclusive of holidays, we run Play Gym sessions where adults can bring their children to play on the facilities. At weekends, the gym can be hired out for parties.
